At night, when the stars glimmer high in the sky,
And the breeze whispers softly as it passes by,
I sense a presence, vast and divine,
Expanding my heart with love's perfect design.
That’s what love is to me.
When the sun ascends with a radiant glow,
And paints the horizon as it dips low,
I hear the stories of grace untold,
Of lives renewed, of faith made bold.
That’s what love is to me.
The song of a bird at the break of dawn,
A melody bright, as the night is withdrawn,
It calls me to see beyond my small view,
To a world of wonder, alive and new.
That’s what love is to me.
In the laugh of a child so pure and free,
In lovers whispers beneath the oak tree,
In music that sways the heart like a stream,
In the warmth of the fire on a cold winter’s dream.
That’s what love is to me.
A mother’s embrace, her soft lullaby,
Her joy overflowing as she holds her why,
God’s hand in her gaze, so tender and true,
Expanding her world through the life she knew.
That’s what love is to me.
For love is a path that widens the soul,
A glimpse of the heavens that makes us whole.
God scatters His love in all that we see,
An endless expansion of eternity.
That’s what love is to me.
