Masked Lives

Writer: introspectmagazineintrospectmagazine

She hid her sad face with a fake smile
She wears a mask of smile
If we remove the mask,
We'd see a whole lot of scars
And lingering memories
Scars of loneliness and worthlessness
Lingering memories of betrayal
The stars know how many buckets of tears she had cried out in night
Every night, sleep escapes her
Unable to move her body
She wished it was her death
But no, it was her sadness haunting her
She wished to live like normal people
But the next day, she once again puts on the mask.
